As part of our curriculum work this term Key Stage 2 children have researched some items for this page.
The land the school is on was given by the Boggis Rolfe family for the education of the parish children and the school was opened in 1871. We found that the school was opened as a government school in 1879 and we know how big the school was because it says in the school log book. At that time the head teacher Mrs Campion lived in the school house which is now our library. There used to be an upstairs, we can tell because of the window.
