Our relationship with the church

Walk to church

Our vicar is Father Henry and he comes to school regularly to lead our assemblies. He was last seen pretending to be a shepherd showing the children how, in biblical times, the shepherd used a crook to pull sheep from holes and bushes. All the children were keen to take the part of a sheep and to jump over or squeeze under the crook ready for a safe night! Other assemblies are taken by other members of the Parish, including Miss Jackson who is one of the Church Wardens.

The school attend services in Church for special times like Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Harvest and the End of Year Leavers service. We also use the church buildings and grounds to help us with our RE work.

The school and church work closely together for the annual flower festival.
